Carina Hernández Díaz – visual artist

My artistic project is rooted in a deep connection with nature and a commitment to the protection of ecosystems and biodiversity. Through the use of color and the representation of flora and fauna, especially the marine world, I seek to convey the beauty and vitality of the natural environment, while also inviting reflection on its fragility.

My work is grounded in the Canarian islands and incorporates an ecofeminist perspective that highlights the relationship between women, land, and care, particularly in rural contexts. I see art as a tool for transformation – one that can raise awareness, foster reflection, and open up more respectful ways of relating to life and the environment.

My recent works

The coast seen from the water, in the sea a humpback whale, corals and a manta ray, and on land mountains and Canarian vegetation

Sea Kissing the Coast
